Join current and former IRC members on Friday, October 11th from 3-5PM for the annual IRC Homecoming Barbecue! Come by Alumni Square (also known as Vil B) to talk with our accomplished alumni guests, celebrate a longstanding homecoming tradition, and enjoy delicious barbecue, courtesy of your very own talented GIRC/GIRA grillmasters!
Interested in joining the IRC's mentorship program? Come by this Friday to learn about the mentorship program and meet some of this year's IRC mentors, each involved in different parts of the IRC including GUMUN, GIRA, Conference Staffing, GDISC, and more! Free food will be available!
What is the mentorship program? We pair new IRC members with older IRC members into mentorship “families.” In addition to attending events hosted by the Chief of Staff sub-board (which include mixers, snack study breaks, and coffee runs), mentors also help mentees with navigating the IRC and Georgetown. For special accommodations, email Chief of Staff Alexander Chen (email@example.com)
GIRC's first-ever Olympics will be taking place on Saturday, September 14th on the Duke Ellington Track Field from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, followed by free food from 6:00-7:00 PM. After registering, attendees will be notified of their assigned team via email by Thursday evening on September the 12th. Teams will compete in ultimate frisbee, soccer and dodgeball.
IRC dues-paying members will also receive their 2019-20 IRC t-shirts at the event. Come get your IRC swag and join in on the fun!
Whether you've been doing Model UN for years or you have no experience whatsoever, come to MUN @ Georgetown to find out more about how you can get involved! We will be introducing the college circuit and all the opportunities to travel with the Model UN team as well as all the opportunities to staff our very own conferences. Every year Georgetown students host 2 Model UN conferences: NCSC in October for college students and NAIMUN in February for high schoolers. In terms of the travel team, we will be attending 5 conferences this fall traveling to NYC, Boston, Philly, Chapel Hill and Ithaca. Come meet the travel team, conferences staff, as well as the NCSC and NAIMUN staff and ask us questions! We can't wait to meet you!
The Georgetown International Relations Club (IRC) is one of the largest undergraduate clubs at Georgetown University. The IRC hosts speaking, cultural, and social events throughout the year.
